Nice glasses don't grow on trees …

The Brillenkammer has been around since the end of 2003. In 2004 Katharina Pech joined the team and in summer 2008 took over the helm from her predecessor Sabine Abel. For over 10 years now the Brillenkammer has been an established part of Friedrichshain’s Kiez-culture and has grown with the neighbourhood while remaining true to its roots. Our ophthalmic opticians offer professional consultations Tuesday through Saturday.

The Tour

Our frames are presented in specially refurbished antique door- and window frames. We want you to have the time to look for what you want in a pleasant and comfortable atmosphere. The play corner for our youngest customers is as much a part of that as are the comfortable easy chairs for those accompanying and supporting your search for the right glasses.

Professional Training

Our profession is a unique mix of artisan and retail components.

Focused, independent work in the workshop alternates with regular contact with all kinds of different people in the sales area. On top of that the optician is a competent contact for an important aspect of wellbeing – seeing.

Working in a small, traditional specialist shop in particular offers a range of work areas. Everyone has a personal investment, and everyone contributes to the face of the shop.
